The New Hampshire Geographic Alliance has developed a variety of resources available for use in classroom instruction. This includes New England Atlases for sale,Free Lesson Plans and items for loan. Many more resources can be accessed on our website but you must be a registered user.

The New Hampshire Geographic Alliance (NHGA) envisions a future for our state in which all of our citizens have a achieved a high level of geographic literacy as a result of cooperative, collaborative, and coordinated educational and policy efforts.


The mission of the New Hampshire Geographic Alliance (NHGA) is to engender an awareness, appreciation, and understanding of the fundamental importance of Geography, its spatial perspectives, and its vital relationship to our lives. NHGA promotes an increase of and diffusion of geographic literacy in New Hampshire by communicating with, building relationships to, and providing opportunities for educators, educational decision makers, and institutions of education.

The New Hampshire Geographic Alliance has a printable map of New Hampshire. Download in a .zip file and print each section at your leisure. The .zip will download and open up a folder with 29 separate Tile maps. If you open up the file marked NHTiles first it will give you an overview of the map of New Hampshire and allow you to see what file corresponds to what region on the map. FALL NEARC 2014 – CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS Sunday, October 5 – Wednesday, October 8 Mystic Marriott, Groton, Connecticut Presentation proposals for the 2014 Fall NEARC Conference are being accepted. The deadline for submitting presentation abstracts is June 8, 2014. The Northeast Arc User Group (NEARC) is an independent, volunteer organization dedicated to helping users of Esri GIS software be more successful. We hold a one-day conference in the spring of each year and a three-day conference in the fall. At each of these events, we foster learning through technical training from Esri, user presentations, and community building events.   Conference Tracks will include: Utilities, Municipal, Public Safety, Education, Emerging Technologies, Natural Resources, Mobile Technology, and Facilities. PRESENTATION FORMAT: Oral Presentations: 20-30 minutes in length (including time for Q&A) Panel Presentations: with up to 3 presenters (you must submit the complete presentation concept as part of your abstract.) Workshop: Intensive 1.5 hour workshop on a specific topic. Poster Presentations: a 4′ x 4′ display space. Awards will be given to the top poster presentations.   ONLINE SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS Abstracts will only be accepted online. The presentation must be product-neutral and cannot market specific products and/or services. Abstracts should not exceed 200 words. NH School Atlas” 2014 reprint and digital version now available!

Dear NH Teachers:   NH Geographic Alliance has updated and reprinted the “New Hampshire School Atlas”​ and is now debuting a digital form for use with Smart, Promethean or Polyvision – Eno Board!  New paper and digital lessons have been developed to help teachers to present and students to understand the information taught in Social Studies classes.  While the atlas and lessons generally follow the “Standards” for the 4th Grade, they can also be used in other grades.  The atlas offers a vivid geographic portrait and spatial perspective of the state of New Hampshire.   Along with the new atlas and lessons, NHGA is offering an opportunity to pilot the BETA version of the ArcGIS Online Atlas activities!  For more information, please contact us at   Please see the attached flyer for details about the atlas and instructions for ordering the paper or CD versions.
