This summer, July 23 – July 25 NRHS if offering a workshop on Asian Studies sponsored by the NH Council for the Social Studies.
Below is an excerpt from their application materials.

“This workshop, which is open to NH teachers only, will address Theme E: Cultural Development, Interaction and Change of the New Hampshire Curriculum Framework. In particular, topics in geography, world history, anthropology, sociology and psychology will be discussed. The workshop will include lectures by East Asia specialists and curriculum implementation discussions.

Participants will receive $130 worth of curriculum materials, including a subscription to Education About Asia. Upon completion of the workshop participants will receive a $100 stipend and certificate of completion.

Participants may elect to complete an additional 12 hours of professional development online by May 31, 2013 to become eligible for an additional $200 stipend as well as additional advanced continuing education opportunities (including study tours to East Asia) offered through the National Consortium for Teaching about Asia (NCTA).”
