GIS Educators Day will be held Sunday, November 11 in connection with the annual NEARC Conference. This year we are pleased to combine our event with the annual Conference of GIS Educators from Maine. We look forward to the expanded professional opportunities that this collaboration makes possible. GIS Educators Day is a one day pre-conference to NEARC’s annual professional user conference which will run from November 11 – 14 at the nearby Samoset Resort. GIS Educators Day will feature a lunchtime keynote by Dr. Matthew Bampton (University of Southern Maine), hands-on computer labs, oral presentations, panel discussions, and posters, exploring a range of resources, projects, and topics. The day will also include a student map competition.
