   PRESS RELEASE

The Little Nature Museum presents “More than Giant Puddles” with naturalist and award-winning environmental educator, Ruth Smith.       Vernal pools are essential nurseries for many woodland amphibians and semi-aquatic insects.  Their temporary nature makes them unique and under-appreciated. Find out about spotted salamanders, wood frogs and other creatures that depend pm these special wetlands.  Discover how to identify amphibian eggs.  Prepare yourself for a Big Night of amphibian migration.  Exciting discoveries await you and your family in vernal pools!
